Tawfiq Eraasy possesses a strong professional background in food systems, health education, and counseling, with a solid foundation in procurement and supply chain management. He has extensive experience in empowering communities through education and support, focusing on nutrition, disease prevention, and overall health improvement.
During his time as a Peer Educator at Baylor College of Medicine, Tawfiq worked to empower children with knowledge about essential topics like nutrition, tuberculosis, HIV, and other critical health issues. This role demonstrated his ability to communicate complex medical and nutritional concepts in a clear and accessible manner, enhancing the community’s understanding of food and health.
With two years of experience as a counselor at the Care and Treatment Center (CTC) at Bugando Medical Center, Tawfiq developed strong skills in providing personalized care and fostering a deeper understanding of health and wellness in local communities. His work contributed to promoting better health practices and food security within the community.
Additionally, his diploma in Procurement and Supply from the College of Business Education (CBE) in Mwanza strengthens his expertise in resource management and supply chain operations, enabling him to contribute to the efficiency of both food systems and healthcare services. Tawfiq’s well-rounded knowledge and hands-on experience make him a valuable asset in driving sustainable health and food systems that support the wellbeing of communities.
