Anastazia David is a visionary climate change specialist, sustainability advocate, and food systems leader based in Mwanza, Tanzania. As the founder of the Green Harbor Resilience Project, she spearheads transformative initiatives that strengthen climate resilience, reduce food insecurity, and foster sustainable agricultural practices. Her mission is deeply rooted in empowering communities to adapt to climate challenges through education, innovation, and inclusive approaches.
Anastazia’s extensive expertise spans climate advocacy, policy development, and sustainable food systems. She holds prominent leadership roles as a Climate Ambassador for the Global Youth Climate Network, a Governing Advisory Board Member for Climate Solution International, and a Country Representative for both GreenLead Nigeria and SDG Brigade Togo. Additionally, as a Food Rescue Ambassador Leader for the Foolish Food Organization, a USA-based initiative, she works to combat food waste and insecurity while promoting equitable food systems globally.
An alumna of the Zero Waste Academy and the Aspire Leaders Program, Anastazia’s impactful work has garnered international recognition, including acknowledgment by Project Drawdown. As a certified Climate Resilient Officer, she is committed to driving sustainable solutions that tackle food security and climate challenges while advancing equitable development. Her leadership and dedication make her a driving force in creating resilient food systems and empowering communities in Tanzania and beyond.
