Youth Leader
Daniel David is an accomplished professional with a strong background in food systems advocacy and social work. Currently serving as the Advocacy Coordinator at The Youth Vision Association (TYVA), he is dedicated to promoting awareness and education to bridge the gaps left by youth in the community. In this role, Daniel leverages his expertise to influence policy decisions and mobilize youth participation in addressing pressing community challenges.
In addition to his work at TYVA, Daniel holds the position of Chairperson at the Youth United Nations Association (YUNA), where he leads initiatives to raise awareness about nutrition and other critical issues among young people. His leadership at YUNA involves organizing workshops, campaigns, and collaborative projects aimed at improving education and access within communities. Daniel also served as Chairperson of the Roots and Shoots club, a Jane Goodall organization, during his secondary education, where he volunteered for five months at the Arusha headquarters, focusing on environmental conservation.
Currently pursuing a degree in Social Work at the Institute of Social Work, Daniel is further developing his skills in community development, advocacy, and support services. This academic pursuit complements his professional achievements by providing a deeper understanding of social issues related to food systems and public health. With a unique combination of practical experience in advocacy and a solid educational foundation in social work, Daniel is well-equipped to contribute meaningfully to discussions around food systems, nutrition, and community welfare.
