Youth Leader
Vivian Tenga is an environmentalist, maternity expert, and an active member of the Arusha Food System Youth Leaders initiative. When she first joined the team, she had limited knowledge about food systems. However, through the skills and insights she gained during her training, Vivian has become a passionate ambassador for the Arusha Food System Youth Leaders.
She has dedicated herself to impacting the local community, particularly focusing on educating pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers she encounters daily. Vivian’s commitment to her role has empowered her to share valuable information about nutrition, sustainable food practices, and the importance of healthy diets during pregnancy and early childhood.
By engaging with these mothers, Vivian not only raises awareness about food systems but also promotes healthier practices that can lead to better outcomes for families and communities. Her work exemplifies the crucial intersection of environmental advocacy and maternal health, demonstrating her dedication to fostering a healthier, more informed community through her role as a youth leader.
