Judith Kilawe

Youth Leader

Judith Straton Kilawe is a dedicated student of civil and highway engineering with a passion for community service, particularly in the realm of improving food systems to enhance public health. Her commitment to addressing non-communicable diseases, especially in Arusha, is driven by a deep concern for the well-being of her community. Recognizing the critical role that diet plays in preventing such diseases, Judith actively promotes healthier eating habits and nutritional awareness.

As a volunteer with the Arusha Food Systems Youth Leaders (AFSYL) initiative, Judith is deeply involved in educating and inspiring the younger generation about the importance of better food practices and overall health. Her work within the program focuses on raising awareness about the links between nutrition and disease prevention, empowering youth to make informed choices that contribute to their long-term well-being. Through her efforts, Judith aims to create lasting positive change in her community by fostering healthier lifestyles and improving the food systems that support them.
