Emma Shirima

Emma Shirima, a resident of Sakina ward in Arusha, is an entrepreneur passionate about adding value to food products and a participant in the Arusha Food Systems Youth Leaders (AFSYL) program. Through AFSYL training, she has gained valuable insights into food safety and how to improve her business operations. This training has enabled her to ensure that her products meet high standards of safety and quality, while using modern techniques to enhance value.

In her business, Emma has improved efficiency and customer satisfaction by applying these new methods. Her goal is to continue building her skills, sharing this knowledge with other young people in her community, and contributing to the growth of the food sector in her region. She envisions positive changes in food safety and sustainable development for her community and the nation as a whole.
