Daudi Thobias
Youth Leader
Daudi Thobias Nasinda is a passionate advocate for sustainable agriculture and agroecology, working to address the challenges of urban food systems. As a volunteer at the MVIWAARUSHA Farmers and Breeders Institute, he is deeply involved in the Urban Farming Project, which educates urban communities on growing their own vegetables and fruits. With the rapid population growth in Arusha, access to fresh produce is becoming more limited, making urban farming a vital solution to ensure food security.
Through this initiative, Daudi promotes sustainable agricultural practices, emphasising the importance of agroecology—an approach that integrates farming with ecological principles to create resilient and environmentally friendly food systems. His work focuses on empowering urban dwellers to cultivate their own produce, contributing to both individual health and the broader goal of a more sustainable food system.
By advocating for urban farming and agroecological practices, Daudi is committed to building a future where communities can thrive through self-sufficiency and sustainable agriculture.
